Low hint puzzles
In a discussion the question was raised, how many clues/hints are necessary for a pattern to yield a unique solution. The following examples all show that it is possible to provide less than a full clue to achieve this; in descending order of restrictions by hints.

Extreme_14 The original weekly extreme #14 had some clues. They are not necessary. Set F7 to [34].
Roessl9 Set C4 to [123].

The very first zero hint was the asymmetric 7x7 full knights move pattern as shown in the image. The pattern has only 2 solutions, so it is sufficient to set a proper compartment to high/low.
For the browser application a version expanded to the usual 9x9 grid is available:
